New Scheduled Bulk Pick-Up

For the past several years, bulk trash pickup happened over the third week of every month. Come April, this policy will change. From the City of Atlanta:

Beginning April 1, City of Atlanta Solid Waste will provide residents with 12 scheduled bulk pick-ups per year.

  • Bulk items shall not be placed at the curbside before 7pm on the day preceding the scheduled pick-up day. If bulky items are placed curbside prior, then residents will receive a citation.
  • If residents place bulk curbside without scheduling, they will receive written from April 2019 through June 2019. Effective July 1, 2019, residents will be charged $325 for failing to schedule bulk. This includes over 20 bags of yard trimmings
  • Bulk pick-up must be scheduled in advance via 311. If bulk is not scheduled and/or exceeds 12 times, there will be a $325 fee.
