NPU-S August General Meeting is *THIS THURSDAY*

This Thursday, August 15th, will be our monthly NPU General Meeting, held as always, on the third Thursday of the month, 7pm to 9pm. This is a virtual meeting only.  There will not be an in-person option this month.

    • An Ordinance by Councilmember Antonio Lewis to rezone 1050 Murphy  Avenue SW, 1078 Biglin Street SW and 1100 Sylvan Road SW from I-1- C/BL (Light Industrial Conditional/BeltLine Overlay) to I-MIX/BL  (Industrial Mixed Use/BeltLine Overlay) to implement recommendations  of the BeltLine Subarea 2 Masterplan for Murphy Triangle; and for other  purposes.   • Sun Aug 11, 4:45pm. Executive Committee meeting. The NPU is guided by the Executive Committee.  The Executive Committee is comprised of the Officers, the chairs of the Standing Committees, and a representative for each qualifying Neighborhood Organization. 

    The Executive Committee meets every second Sunday of the month at 4:45 pm. 
  • Mon Aug 12, 0:00am. Yard Trimmings Collected. Due to staffing shortages, yard trimmings will be collected every other week until further notice. This week, yard trimmings WILL be collected.

    Trash and recycling are collected weekly as usual.

    2. all matters related to recreation, parks, libraries, and cultural affairs;
    3. and all matters related to a pleasant and healthful environment, including, but not limited to: sanitary services, water and sewer facilities and services, and noise quality.

Monthly in-person meeting for the Friends of James Orange Park group and representatives of City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation. The meeting is held every month at the recreation center.
  • Wed Aug 7, 6:15pm. NPU-S Land Use Committee meeting. This committee makes recommendations to the NPU about:
    1. all matters related to the development of residential, commercial, and other large-scale development projects;
    2. all matters related to zoning, economic development, business expansion and retention, and urban design;
    3. all matters related to traffic and transportation planning;
    4. and all matters related to enforcement of City Codes.
