or attend a college or university in Fulton County, GA, enter our all It Takes A Village College Essay Competition. 


Prizes: 10 - $500 Book Scholarships (one submission per student)
 

Topics: On May 11, 2023 the Biden Administration declared the end of the COVID-19 National Public Health Emergency. Please share 5 changes that happened to United States citizens and/or businesses that had a positive effect during the pandemic and cite 2 references per positive change. Conclude with how the nation could prepare for the next pandemic, cite 2 references. No plagiarism.
 
 
Guidelines: The participant must be a student currently enrolled in college, from rising  college freshmen (graduated high school seniors accepted into a college or university) to undergraduate college seniors.

· Essays must be minimum of 1500 words and typed. Must include reference page with at least 12 sources.
· Arial 12pt font, doubled spaced, pdf. Every page should have first and last name and page number.
· Cover page includes: first and last name as it appears on your drivers license or ID, your home address, date of birth, and college/university.
· No pictures or graphics.
· Essays are due by 4:00pm, Friday, July 14, 2023.
· Winners will be announced and awarded book scholarships at the It Takes A Village Back to School Drive, Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Gladys S. Dennard Library at 5:30pm-7:00pm.

Solid waste collection services this week will be pushed back one day to allow for the long Juneteenth weekend. So if your normal pickup day is Wednesday, it'll be Thursday, and so forth.
