Apply for the TransFormation Alliance Academy Today! Deadline extended to February 2nd! The TransFormation Academy is designed to help community-based groups and residents engage in community revitalization and transit planning. The Academy will include a dynamic mixture of lectures, group discussion, hands-on engagement, and take-home activities. Ft. Mac LRA meeting Wed. 1/24

Exciting news from Brian Hooker, the executive director of the Ft. Mac Local Redevelopment Authority. On Wednesday the 24th, planners will share progress on the Ft. Mac project, including 3D renderings. Financing for the plans should be finalized by late April 2018 with groundbreaking at the end of this year.

Because our communities will be the most directly affected, we strongly encourage our residents to attend the meeting if possible, hear the updates, and see the renderings. Brian is especially excited about the idea of a community run "grocery store" on the property and is looking for feedback and support on the idea.

The MILRA C.E.S meeting will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 5:30, Ft.McPherson, LRA Office, 1794 Walker Avenue.

With the City government effectively shut down tomorrow, and VICARS also closed, we encourage people to play it safe and stay home tomorrow. The first NPU-S meeting of 2018 will be February, Thursday 15th.

October 19 meeting TEMPORARY NEW LOCATION

Our regular location, VICARS, is being used as a movie set! While that's very exciting, they won't pay us to be extras, so for the OCTOBER 19 meeting ONLY, we will be holding it at The Chapel of Christian Love Missionary Baptist Church, at 875 Cascade Ave - the intersection of Richland and Cascade.  Look for the NPU-S meeting yard signs in the lawn. Parking will be available behind the church and along Richland.  Please let others know about the relocation!

The Nomination Committee will introduce nominees for 2018 NPU-S Officers.  Attendance at the October and November meetings is very important for voting NPU-S members!
