NPU-S General Meeting *this* Thursday, Aug 20, 7pm

This Thursday the 20th will be the NPU-S General Meeting for August 2020, held as always on the third Thursday of the month at 7pm.

As usual, our meeting is being held over Google Meet. Attendees should register beforehand! If you do not register then we cannot count your attendance or verify your identity on voting matters.

We have one vote this month, an updated rezoning proposal:

• Z-19-188 -"A Substitute Ordinance by Councilmember Marci Collier Overstreet to rezone certain properties from R-4 (Single-family residential) to R-4B (Single-family residential) fronting 836.7 feet on the east side of Beecher Road, S.W. beginning at the intersection of Beecher Road, S.W. and Herring Road, S.W. in which to implement certain recommendations of the Atlanta City Design Plan; and for other purposes." - this is modified from a February proposal, and was the topic of a presentation that can be found at http://www.npu-s.org/2020/06/meeting-recap-housing-cascade-heights.html.

We also have presentations from Market 166 and Equitable Dinners.

As always, there will be representatives from the police, code enforcement, public works, and other City departments call in to give reports, and discuss NPU and community programs for our constituents. Come on out!

Oakland City Street Closures for Filming, 8/14 7am-10pm

 

Friday, August 14, will see extensive road closures through the Rev. James Orange Park area in Oakland City. Crews will be filming a music video for Li'l Baby.

While the closed roads themselves do not bear much traffic, there may be some spillover into the arterial roads.
