King of Pops at Rev. James Orange Park, Sunday, Aug. 17th 2-4pm

Greetings Friends of RJOP.

Thanks to those of you who came out last Thursday to help the Parks Dept. determine what equipment should be included in our new playground.  Parks and Recreation representatives said that the playground, splash pad, pool and pool house should be completed by May 31, 2015.

Coming a lot sooner, this

Sunday, Aug. 17th
Time:  2-4pm
Park Pride will bring King of Pops to our park.  In addition, Friends RJOP will supply other snacks.  We will have games and face painting as well as voter registration.  Please come out and bring some children.  Consider volunteering (1pm-4pm) to help organize and set up games.

Please contact Amy Johnson at 404-755-0478 if you are able to volunteer.

Finally, thanks to Oakland City Community Organization, Cathedral of Faith, St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church and Wiliam M. Finch Elementary PTA for a great back to school event on August 2nd.  In addition to school supplies children were treated to hot dogs, snacks and a DJ.  Oakland City has some great dancers!

See you on Sunday!
Amy Johnson
