Utoy Creek Watershed Charette- May 30th 6-8 pm

In partnership with the City of Atlanta's Department of Watershed Management, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers will be undertaking an Ecosystem Restoration Study to improve the aquatic ecosystem along Utoy Creek and its tributaries. Increased urbanization in the Utoy Creek watershed in SW Atlanta over the past decades has significantly degraded sections of the main stem and its tributaries, and the study will identify actions that can be implemented to restore aquatic habitats and enhance the quality of the environment.

The charette will take place on May 30th from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Outdoor Activity Center (1442 Richland Rd SW, Atlanta, GA 30310). The format of the outreach event will be highly interactive, with informational booths to educate community members on all aspects of the study and solicit public input. We encourage you to come prepared to share your expertise and insights.
