 BACKGROUND: Post 1 At-Large Council member Michael Julian Bond is co-sponsoring a "Meals with Meaning" grab-and-go family-sized meal kit giveaway with HELLO Fresh, Second Helpings Atlanta, Pratt Industries & other Community Partners every week on Wednesdays For the next calendar year!

Centers for Disease Control (CDC) COVID-19 protocols will be followed.

Reminder: Solid Waste Collection Pushed Back 1 day

Solid waste collection services this week will be pushed back one day to allow for the long Juneteenth weekend. So if your normal pickup day is Wednesday, it'll be Thursday, and so forth.

Notice: Arborist Pre-Construction Inspections

As of April 13, 2023, all permitted projects approved by the arborist require a pre-construction inspection before beginning any construction activity. Section 158-106.

PRE-INSPECTION STEPS:

  1. Each final approved construction plan receives approval sticker from arborist plan reviewer (see below).
  2. Permit is issued.
  3. Tree protection fence is installed by developer/builder according to the approved arborist stamped plans.
  4. Applicant schedules inspection (404)-658-6800 per arborist approval guidelines. Pre-construction code: 513.
  5. Inspection is scheduled. Completed by field arborist within 2 business days.
  6. Inspection results in pass or fail. Failed inspections: corrections must be completed, and another inspection request should be submitted.
  7. Passed inspections: construction approved to begin.
